Running for three weeks, Week 1 (17th-23rd July), Week 2 (24th-30th July) and Week 3 (31st July - 6th August), the event will be held at Keswick Convention Centre, Cumbria and this year subtitled Out Of Control?: The Sovereignty Of God In A World Of Uncertainty.

Speakers for the event will include Alistair Begg, Jonathan Lambe and Nigel Lee. For more information visit www.keswickconvention.org.

New Wine 2009 Print E-mail

There are a number of families who attend Christian camps over the summer holiday period, and one of the most popular is New Wine which is held at Shepton Mallet in Somerset, in the Royal Bath and Wells Show ground (not far from Stonehenge and Glastonbury).

For more details on New Wine conferences across the whole year as well as the Summer ones, and to learn more about the New Wine network of churches (of which Christ Church and St Andrews is listed) check out www.new-wine.org

It is always a great week to spend together with 11000 other Christians camping and having great worship, teaching, seminars and fellowshiping. There is plenty of variety in evening entertainment as well as constant supply of the food in the food court. There are many charity stands and christian shops in the market place also if you cant quite do without some shopping experience in the week !

Children love it too since they have fantastic young peoples groups and the energy and enthusiasm really inspires the youngsters as well as providing excellent solid biblical teaching.

This year Darran Hibbert is acting as Village Host for the village we shall be camping in (Usually Pink 2 or 5 !) so more details can be found from him, or Nigel, or you can contact the office for more information that way.

Sadly this year New Wine is sold out for the week we go which is 25th to 31st July but there are some tickets available for other weeks. Otherwise there is always next year :-)
